Thank you to all of the teachers who have used Mission US<\/em> and our new Teacher Dashboard this year! We hope that you and your students had a positive experience using our missions and classroom support materials. As we near the end of the school year, we wanted to alert you about a couple important updates to your classroom accounts in accordance with Mission US<\/em>\u2019s Data Retention<\/a> and Privacy<\/a> Policies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Deletion of Student Accounts from Dashboard<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To protect students\u2019 personal data, all student accounts created via your Teacher Dashboard prior to June 1, 2025, will be deleted on August 1, 2025. <\/strong>This will eliminate the students\u2019 data from our system and clear the way to allow you to generate new classes and student accounts for the new school year. [To accommodate summer school users, student accounts created via Teacher Dashboard from June 1-July 31, 2025, will be deleted on June 1, 2026.<\/strong>]<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note that students are free to create their own independent accounts by going to \u201cCreate Account\u201d and selecting \u201cStudent\u201d on the first screen. We encourage students to do this if they plan to continue playing Mission US <\/em>on their own! These non-Dashboard accounts will never be deleted as they do not require students to provide any personal data. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Opt-In to Continue Using Dashboard<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, we require annual confirmation from teachers to allow us to retain their email addresses <\/strong>for purposes of using the Mission US <\/em>Dashboard. The first time you log in on or after August 1st, you\u2019ll see a pop-up message asking you to confirm before you can use the Dashboard again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us at missionus@thirteen.org<\/a>. This process will occur again at the end of the 2025-2026 school year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
