We&#8217;re thrilled to announce some exciting updates for this fall:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>NOW AVAILABLE:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our new<strong> Teacher Dashboard<\/strong> enables teachers to create and manage classes of students online &#8211; including auto-generating student accounts, tracking student progress in missions, assessing student understanding via in-game quizzes, and managing student passwords.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To get started, log in with a teacher account and click DASHBOARD. For teachers starting to use Mission US before the dashboard launches, we recommend you complete that mission with existing accounts before starting to use the new Dashboard system.)<\/em>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Updated versions of the Educator Guides<\/strong> for all of the missions &#8211; including new curriculum overviews, implementation guides, mission reflection questions, and more &#8211; will provide a more streamlined, user-friendly experience for teachers and students. Check them out now in the <strong><a href=\"\/teach\">TEACH<\/a> <\/strong>section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">COMING IN 2025:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A free, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ny.pbslearningmedia.org\/resource\/serious-history-serious-games-interactive-lesson\/mission-us\/\">self-paced interactive professional learning module<\/a><\/strong>, available on PBS LearningMedia, will enable teachers to use <em>Mission US<\/em> more effectively in the classroom. The module is designed to help teachers reflect on the importance of historical empathy and how <em>Mission US <\/em>can help students develop it; learn about the <em>Mission US<\/em> interactives and supporting educator resources; and make a plan for bringing <em>Mission US<\/em> into their classrooms in an intentional, supported, and responsive way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A <strong>brand-new mission, <em>Spirit of a Nation<\/em>,<\/strong> will follow the experiences of the native Apalachee in the 16th and 17th centuries, including the Early Encounters and Mission periods with the Spanish.
